Be careful about painting the Baptist churches with a broad brush. This is a group of ten people, members of two congregations, who want to help. They may have run afoul of laws they were unaware of. Let the judicial system in Haiti ferret out the real intent of these people, before we say they were stealing kids.

No doubt the situation in Haiti remains chaotic.

Holly, don't make the mistake of labeling "you Mormons...." like OT did with the Baptists. Just unfair to indict an entire organization for the actions of a few.

What I put that link up for, was using old Roc's tactic condemning an entire religion, to make a point to him. We have no idea of what happened in Haiti, what there motives were, and if they even knew they were breaking the law. Under the laws of this country, you are innocent till proven guilty. No matter what, they are getting a lot of bad press for what they did. It is not up to us to judge them, or to judge all Baptists for what those 10 people did.

It is not fair nor Christian to run them down Baptists using that one example, or even many examples of that type if the examples were available.

Just as it is not Christian or fair to spend one's time running down Mormons, Catholics, Buddhists, Muslims and other religions as Roc does.

Preaching hate is the wrong thing to do, no matter what. Jesus taught love one another, not hate one another.

Any Christian should allow everyone to practice their faith, and we each practice our own. In the end, we will be judged by our own actions. We cannot say that others are wrong, as we really do not know what Jesus and God think.

When we condemn other religions, we are saying we are acting as God and judging them. Remember Jesus said, "Judge Not, Lets Ye Be Judged".

I wonder why there are area mormons who have their token adopted black baby. That seems odd in a community that is extremely racist and focused on the blonde hair/blue eye supremist (seig heil) image. Some of them probably are descendents of those murderous mormons who killed the pioneers at Meadow Mountains, stole all their belongings and stole their children, the ones they didn't murder along with their parents.

Again this shows what little you know of Mormons. A very large percentage of Mormons are not blond, and blue eyed. In fact, that would be the big majority of all Members, with blond blue eyed members far, far below half of all members of the church, actually down to 25% or less of members.

Saying what you do, shows your prejudice against Mormons and who they are and how little you know of them.

As a matter of fact, my next door neighbor's wife and daughter are black. They are the nicest people, and yes, they're Mormons. Google Alex Beyes, and check out his musical talent, and yes, He's a Mormon. So is Gladys Knight of the Pips musical group. Racists? Hardly. What matters most to we LDS is character, not color.

In my ward, there are far more white/grey hair people than any other hair color.

Only motorcycle I ever owned was an Indian.

I bought one of the last 1941 ever built for$100 one night when a friend needed some money real bad in late 1949.

Sold it for $200 when I went to the navy in late 1950 and thought I made a killing.

Wish I had kept it when that model became a collectors item a few years later.

Looked like this one, same color.

If you really are concerned about protecting children, then act against the polygamists in your own state who continually steal childhood lives from children in their sects. You have young girls (children) who are forced into marriages with old men. You have young boys, who don't receive proper educations but then are forced away from their families and friends for "violations" of their religion.

However, when the people of this state turn their backs to the horrible behaviors of the polygamists in this state by pretending (denying) it doesn't exist, or even cite their "connection" to polygamy (i.e. ancestor who was a child bride, or ancestor who had child brides), then this religious child abuse will continue. It was pathetic to see the outpouring of support from Utah for the polygs in Texas.

You are such a hypocrite to point fingers as others while child abuse under the disguise of religious belief, is practiced in your very own state and by people claiming the same religious belief as yours.
